Festival Season
Coachella wristbands are clogging up our feed and line ups are the hot topic of conversation this week — it’s officially festival season.
Among the female population, festival fashion takes precedence over the performers year after year. At this point we know more than a few people who treat these things as runway shows as opposed to music festivals. Don’t get us wrong, we appreciate the content. The issue we have is that while the girls are taking center stage when it comes to festival fashion, their male counterparts look like clowns, year after year.
We’re not advocating for you to spend weeks coordinating outfits or to pack 3 suitcases for a single weekend. But we don’t need to see you in an Alpha Phi bro tank from 2015 again. The douchey, whacky, “funny guy” outfits need to go. And please, please don’t be the guy in a onesie.
Level up your festival ‘fit this year.
Elevated doesn’t need to be boring. But instead of optimizing for some crazy t-shirt, consider adding pattern and color to your bottoms and opting for a simpler top.
John Elliott makes great basketball shorts. They’ll keep you cool and comfy but set you apart from the clowns in swim trunks and pink bro tanks.
We like these for a darker vibe too:
Love these.
But, if crazy shorts aren’t your thing (we’d advise you reevaluate), you can definitely go the more traditional route with a short-sleeve button up. We’ve got some great, not-so-boring options.
We’ve got a subtle nod to PLUR for you rave boys with this one:
And you can never go wrong with a classic graphic tee. Check out these festival-inspired options:
This is our time to shine, boys. Go get ‘em.
